Why does a perfectly rendered CG shot sometimes still feel too clean or artificial? One reason is that real cameras don’t capture a perfectly clean image. Dust, dirt, mud, moisture and other contaminants on the lens can subtly affect how light reaches the sensor, creating scattering, softness, haze and localized optical changes.
